Addition or Multiplication: Powerful?

Do you consider multiplication or addition more poweful?

If you look at all the rules & frequency, one or the other occur in formulas. Perhaps, you would say, addition is the better one?

However, I have to side with multiplication. Stephan Wolfram realized this while designing Mathematica.

If you write an equation such as, x y z? Mathematica assumes you are multiplying them all together. At first, when I saw this. I felt, it was such genius. Still, I agree it was a profound idea for Mr. Wolfram to apply.

Although, if it came to anything with numerals / numbers. My inclination would be towards implied addition. Ergo, 1 45 2 33 100 = 1 + 45 + 2 + 33 + 100.
