Google's Chrome

Google just announced their new browser - Chrome.

Google Chrome (BETA) for Windows
Google Chrome is a browser that combines a minimal design with sophisticated technology to make the web faster, safer, and easier.
  • Why use it?
    1. First, I never recommend, only use one browser. Use any one or combinations of what ever you like.
    2. Next, "avoid Internet Explorer." Just too many problems & no controls to turn off, dangerous features.
    3. Chrome is very fast. Though, a smaller version of Opera still seems faster, to me.
    4. I like Google's innovation with Chrome. Make it "the OS" of the computer. Why?
    5. It shouldn't matter, if you are on Windows, or Linux, or MacOSX. If you are in Chrome on the Web. You should have a powerful and convenient user interface.
    6. This is "just a BETA." They are still working on it. It runs fine, I haven't had one crash. (Unlike my Internet Explorer v7!)
    7. They will support OSes besides MS Windows, later.
    8. Other People consider Google Evil. I don't.

  • Until, I see Google "demanding" $300 for a trivial Google-Docs / Office update Software / Webware release package. (When it's free. If you don't like it. Just don't use it. At least, you didn't throw away cash.)

  • It doesn't scare me, what they may know about - where I'm web searching. (As long, is it doesn't show up as a "10k lined list" on my Facebook page.)

PS. Yes, I consider it (a browser) a tool. The "define a Web Application Shortcut. Something rather hard to do on Windows. (Unless, you love "stating long URLs in shortcut files. I do not.)
