Using Greader

You know, I really love my Greader account. It is "about the best way" to collect, retrieve, and see RSS Feeds.

However, some web sites who produce feeds - should realize.

  1. Don't assume people check it rigorously, every day.
  2. If you are posting more than three items a day? Make them similar. Group on common themes.
  3. Save the good stuff. Only reveal what is truly valuable. (ie, Don't report everything or spam on pointless dribble.)
  4. Like my Information Week (All Stories & Blogs) feed. = A 100 more stories a day is insane.

Result: I just end up marking them, all read, after poorly reviewing, the titles. = I just don't have time to deal with this nonsense.

More. When you return after a vacation. = Odds are, you are going to "just mark everything" all read!!! = You have to start over, at some point, and clear out the mess!!!
